Zchwantech and UTAR Join Hands to Make Education Accessible

In a heartwarming collaboration aimed at making education accessible to all, Zchwantech Sdn Bhd and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) have partnered to extend higher education opportunities to deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances. This significant move is marked by two key agreements that emphasize the commitment of these institutions to support education.

Under the first agreement, Zchwantech will offer scholarships to students pursuing Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, and Art and Design programs. The selection of scholarship recipients will be at the discretion of Zchwantech.

Taking their commitment even further, Zchwantech has donated RM100,000 to UTAR, establishing the distinguished “UTAR-ZCHWANTECH Scholarship for Top Achiever.” This scholarship is designed to cover 100% of the tuition fees for two exemplary students focusing on Business Administration and Finance degrees.

The official signing ceremony for these agreements took place on June 8 at UTAR’s Sungai Long Campus. UTAR President Prof. Datuk Dr. Ewe Hong Tat and Zchwantech Director Alex Chan put their signatures on the agreements, with witnesses including UTAR Vice-President Prof. Dr. Choong Chee Keong and Zchwantech’s Chief Technology Officer Chay Weei Jye.

Prof. Ewe expressed his deep gratitude to Zchwantech for their unwavering commitment to supporting UTAR students through scholarships. He emphasized the significance of Zchwantech’s dedication to social responsibility and its belief in the transformative power of education. UTAR has a long-standing tradition of providing scholarships and loans to needy students, and Zchwantech’s generous contribution will further strengthen this tradition.
